I obtained a PhD in Cell Biology at the Autonomous University of Barcelonaf in 2005. In 2006, I moved to the laboratory of Dr. Thomas Ried, head of the Cancer section Genomics of the Genetics Branch at the National Cancer Institute, NIH (Bethesda, USA), to perform my post-doctoral training. In 2010, I was promoted to a Research Fellow position at NIH. In 2011, I joined the group of Gastrointestinal and Pancreatic Oncology at IDIBAPS in Barcelona, led by Dr. Antoni Castells, where I obtained a Miguel Servet contract from the Carlos III Health Institute to establish my own research group. Last year, I was promoted to Junior Group Leader of the Translational Colorectal Cancer Genomics group at IDIBAPS. I hold an assistant professor position at the Autonomous University of Barcelona since 2014
